Happy Birthday Lenci!!!

Happy Birthday, sweet Lenci!!! You are a special gift from God!!! We treasure you and know that God is working in your life everyday!!! Here are some memories from your first 2 years!!!

Sweet Little Lenci...TWO!!!

So...Lenci's birthday is coming up on Saturday, which is technically tomorrow, since it's so late!!! I will look for some great pics of her from birth to now!!! She's going to be TWO!!! I cannot believe how fast time goes!!! My two big girls!!!

Lenci is such a sweet little girl!!! She is already developing into one of the most caring little hearts on the planet!!! She is sooo sensitive, but that makes her the first to comfort her siblings and me, or anyone for that matter, if it looks like they're upset!!! She's sooo cute when she's watching something sad, even if it's on a movie or a show, she's all pouty!!! She really feels it all!!! One of my favorite things that she does right now...she pretends to be a kitten!!! She will do anything we want her to do if we say "here kitty, kitty!" It's soooo hillarious!!!

One day, she was really giving me hard time! We were just trying to get everyone out the door, shoes, clothes, clean diapers and all!!! She wanted to wear her plastic leopard high heels to the store...I wanted her to wear her pink and white sandals!!! My sister in law, Susan and I got the sandals on (with a minor struggle) and 2 seconds later, after I made sure my checklist (imaginary) was complete, I look up and she has them off again!!! I was about to get really upset when I thought, let me try one last resort!!! I said, "Here kitty, kitty. Come get your sandals on! These are kitty sandals!!!" To my amazement and surprize, she comes crawling in, mewing like a little kitten and let me put on the sandals (as I was laughing under my breath, histerically) with no struggle whatsoever!!! We were ALL laughing, Zoe included!!! Zoe was looking on in just as much disbelief as we were!!! I was definitely thankful then for our little silly kitty who is sooo easily distracted into her little sandals (that really have nothing to do with kitty's)!!!

Just a random kodak moment!!!

We have just gotten her big girl trundel out from under her sisters bed. She was climbing on her crib about two days ago for the first time and that made me nervous, so we just rearranged the room last night to make it have 2 twin beds instead of one with hers tucked under. No more crib for her and she's doing great!!! Last night she only had to have a few reprimends and she stayed in bed, and tonight she didn't have any problem at all!!! She didn't get her nap in today since we had two aunts come over, so that helped in the fact that she fell asleep tonight within the first 10 minutes of plopping in bed!!! She looks soooo little in her BIG GIRL BED!!! It's sooo cute!!! I will post some pics of her in it as soon as possible!!! :)

Oh, and another funny kitty thing she does...she fake licks, with sound effects and all, and she rubs her head on you like a real cat does!!! It's sooooo hillarious to watch!!! We just laugh and laugh and laugh!!! And then if you ask her a question while she's pretending to be a kitty, she answers in her high pitched kitty voice!!! :) Maybe I can figure out how to get a video of it on to this blog!!! :) Such a funny little girl with a HUGE imagination!!!

Here she is with her little baby doll!!! I think this is her idea of having her own little baby sling...she tucks her babies into her shirts!!! Maybe it's a threefold thing: being pregnant, nursing, and a baby sling!!! ;) So cute!!!

And ONE and TWO...

Well, I haven't really been doing much lately! :) J/K My life has been overwhelmingly all about the numbers ONE and TWO!!! Ya, the icky numbers!!! Our puppy, Camille, started reverting and poopooing on the floor, in her kennel, and anywhere but outside!!! I was sooo busy changing diapers, monitoring newly potty trained darling, and cleaning the poopy kennel, sooooo...I haven't been able to update the blog! :) Sorry for me and for you! ;)

Anyway, daughter #2 has decided that she wants a go at potty training, and I am all for that!!! Lenci has been wanting to go potty every time Zoe goes, which seemed pointless to me about 2 days ago!!! That is until SHE WENT (#1)!!!! I am soooooo happy! I know that this has now happened only 3 times in the last 3 days, but the fact that she wants to is amazing me!!! In fact, today she came to me and told me that she needed to go potty and when I took her to go...SHE WENT!!! :) I am sooo happy...which I know I already said...but I have been changing diapers for a little while, and for a short time I was changing diapers for 3 kids!!! Eek!!! I am soooooo ready for this potty training bit to work permanently for Lenci! I am so proud of her!!! My favorite thing is seeing her face of accomplishment when she has just gone!!! So sweet!!!

Well, as for Camille, our little girl pup, we bought a potty training book for dogs! I know, I'm a potty training crazy right now, and I can't say queen until I complete my mission!!! I never dreamed that I would be potty training my second daughter and first dog at the same time!!! I don't think my dreams were ever that detailed!!! I have to say that I have only been sane because of the GRACE of GOD!!! I am not joking!!! :) There have been moments that I had 2 diapered children ready to be changed, a puppy in a poopy kennel, and a daughter screaming from the potty "Mom, I need you"! :) Ahhhhhhh!!! That's when I almost went to hide in the closet...but then I didn't! I completed the mission, the task set before me, and with some complaining along the way, don't get me wrong, but that is my prayer; that I will do everything to the glory of God!!! But to not stop there...I want to make a goal of not complaining when I am in an icky (or sticky) situation, literally!!! ;) Philippians 2:14-16 says "Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life—in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing." This scripture is very convicting to me right now!!! Pray that I will be like a star shining in the universe in this world, and in my home!!! :) Praise the Lord, Camille has been pottying on the puppy pads that we got for her, which is a HUGE answer to prayer!!! Lee and I learning a lot about potty training, and the book is really helping! It was only $4.99, and that is well worth my time and sanity!!! :) Sooo...we are on route to being mostly potty trained at our house!!! I'm just glad that my hubby came potty trained... ;)

I think that I will just jot down a few things that I am thankful for since I am trying to complain less! :)

1. I am thankful that there are no medical conditions preventing the progress for potty training right now, and that we have healthy children!!!
2. I am thankful that God has allowed us to be able to afford the diapers and pull ups that we need!!!
3. I am thankful that we have one out of diapers and able to cheer on the next two in their journey to freedom! ;)
4. I am thankful that I am healthy and able to potty train and take care of my children!!! :)
5. I am thankful for the many friends and family members who have been encouraging me during this time!!! Thanks! :)

I am going to do this from time to time about other things! It really helps me to rethink my situation! :) Blessings!!!

Our potty training princess...

...the encouraging ballerina...

...and the little guy who doesn't know what's coming!!! ;)
(Ha, I thought this one looked like he was snapping a pic of himself, but he's trying to grab the camera from me!!!)

A few fun pics and a great song!!! :)

Awww, nothing like hyper kids with their daddy!!! ;) J/K I love days when the
kiddos get to sabotage Lee!!! Hehehe!!!

He looks soooo tortured! They all have so much fun wrestling and playing the eating game!!! We have had to explain to Lenci that we are not really supposed to bite! Ha! She was thinking that she should really eat the "lion" (her daddy)!!! I think she's getting the hang of things now!!! :) So cute!

On another note (no pun intended), I love this song by Leeland!!!
You can listen to it on their website www.leelandonline.com!!! It's a beautiful picture of how creation celebrates our Lord's majesty and how He has saved us from our sin and shame and brought us to a friendship with Himself!!! :)
Enjoy!!!

Yes You Have
by: Leeland

Every tree and every stone
Every rushing wind that moans
They sing Your praise
My God, they sing Your praise
Every star and open sky
Tell of Your glory divine
They shout Your praise
They shout Your praise, yeah

You’ve stolen my heart
Yes, You have!
You’ve stolen my heart
Yes, You have!
You’ve wiped away the stains
And broke away the chains
Yes, You have!!

With Your love You set me free
Three nails gave me liberty
So I’ll sing Your praise
My God, I’ll sing Your praise
Oh, with Your love
You forgave my sin
Forgot my past
And brought me back again
So I’ll sing Your praise
I’ll sing Your praise, yeah

If I ascend into the sky
Or hide behind the night
I can not run Your love is chasing me
If I fall into the sea
Your hand will rescue me
No one will take Your place
Because

This is all for You
Yes, this is all for You
You’re the King of the world
You’re the King of the world

the skies proclaim the work of his hands." Psalm 19:1

I've been tagged!!! :)

Wow! Thanks Janelle!!! This is my first time to be tagged too!!! I am really looking forward to doing this and then tagging 5 others! :)

Here are the rules:

1. those tagged will share 5 things they dig about Jesus…

2. those tagged will tag 5 other bloggers…

3. those tagged will post a comment here with their name and a link to their “dig” Jesus list…

Well, here we go!

5 Things I Dig About Jesus:

1. His personalness-- Jesus is personal!!! I love that He knows me and my struggles!!! This is what gets me through so many days!!! I know that He is watching and guiding and loving me!!! I know that He sees my tears and my achievements, He knows my joys, He knows my thoughts and hears my prayers!!! What a wonderful Savior!!!
Psalm 139:13 says "For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb." He made us personally!!!

2. His perfection-- Jesus is perfect!!! He is the only perfect person to ever live on this earth; thus our need for Him is great!!! Because of His perfection we see our imperfection!!! Psalm 19:7a states "The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul." His perfection is the example that He gave us to strive toward, but it is also the gift that He gave us to save our souls from eternal condemnation when He took on our imperfection at the cross and paid our debt! Hebrews 10:14 tells us that "by one sacrifice He has made perfect forever those who are being made holy." I am so thankful that He is willing to "perfect my faith" (Heb. 12:2).

3. His pardon-- Jesus gives pardon to those who confess their sins to him! I John 1:9 says "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." I am so thankful for this merciful pardon of my sinfulness, and I thank Him for helping me to be more like Him on a daily basis!

4. His perfect gifts-- Jesus is THE gift!!! He is also the giver of every gift; my family, husband, children, home, talents, church, pets, and even the little blessings of our material possessions or moments of memories that we are a part of in this life!!! One of my favorite verses has been proven to me so many times, Ephesians 3:20,21 says "Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory..." Wow, Paul couldn't have said it any better!!! So many times I have prayed for things from God, some things He gave and others He didn't. He is amazing, and His gifts are perfect!!! James 1:17 says "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows."

5. His peace-- Jesus is peace!!! He is the Prince of Peace (Is. 9:6). Ephesians 2:14 says "For he himself is our peace"! Psalm 29:11 says that "the LORD blesses his people with peace." Philippians 4:7 tells us that "the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." He gives us peace in situations when it seems impossible to have peace!!! I have personally experienced this kind of peace from Him! Praise the Lord!!! This is something that people spend their whole lives searching for, and it is given freely from Him!!!

So, for some reason everything I was thinking of started with p!!! ;) Don't ask me why! Hahaha!!! These are the things that came to my heart and mind!!! Thanks be to God for these and many other things!!! :) Now I have to pick 5 people to tag!!!
